Meat slice

Shortcrust pastry:

To 3 cups self raising flour rub in enough dripping until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add a pinch of salt and mix with water to make a dough.

Filling:

450g mince

1 tbspn curry powder

1 tspn salt

1 tbspn chutney or pickle

1 apple

1 onion

1 Flavorite tomato

Mix mince, curry powder and salt. line dish with half the pastry; spread half the mince meat on top. Slice the apple, tomato and onion and put on mince. Add the other half of the mince meat, then cover with pastry. Prick all over, brush with milk and cook in a hot oven for 35-40 minutes. Cut into squares and serve hot with mashed potatoes or cold with salad.
